Throughout the years the Society has given importance to the cultural heritage of Mellieħa throughout a number of events:
- In 1994 members from this same Society cleaned up and rehabilitated the neglected area known as l-Għajn tal-Mellieħa restoring it to its natural beauty.
- The musical l-Assedju l-Kbir was originally produced 15 years ago in1995.
- Another re-enactment in the occasion of the 100 years since the coronation of Our Lady of the Sanctuary in Mellieha 1999 was held in Mellieha Sactuary Square.
- In 2004 the largest World War II shelter in Mellieha was passed on to the Society to be administered, rehabilitated and open to the general public for all to benefit from.
- Every year, volunteers within the Society take part in the annual St. John’s bonfire by wearing period costumes and taking part in this historical re-enactment through drama and music.
These experiences provide new and different opportunities to the Society’s members and students to take part in such historical and cultural events, which has a compliment musical programmes and activities organised throughout the year.
