Christmas Concert at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mellieha

It has now become a yearly appointment for the Vocal Ensemble of the Choral and Orchestral Society of Mellieha to present its annual Christmas Carols concert.
With the collaboration of the Mellieha Local Council and the Parish of Mellieha on Friday 9th December a musical programme was held at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mellieha. The event was well received by the public, proof of this was the numerous crowd that gathered for this occasion offering its support and enjoying the music presented. Under the direction of Mro. Kenneth Fenech, the vocal and orchestral ensemble came together to perform various Christmas carols and other sacred hymns including Light a Candle, Do You Hear What I Hear?, Adeste Fideles and Ninu, Ninu tal-Milied amongst others.
The Society’s president Mr. Joseph Debono and the Parish Priest of Mellieha, Fr. Joe Caruana made their speeches for the occassion. The vocal ensemble was founded and prepared by Soprano Rosabelle Bianchi. This concert will be held again on Friday 30th December at the Qala Parish Church in Gozo.
