The Committee
The Committee of the Choral and Orchestral Society ‘Maria Bambina’ is elected every two years. This Committee includes the roles of President, Secretary, Director, Treasurer, PRO and Delegate. The role of this Committee is to meet on a regular basis to discuss and implement matters directly related to the Society and its members. The Committee could also delegate work to Sub Committees according to needs and circumstances.

President – Mr Joseph DeBono
• The President is selected by the nine elected Committee members at the General Meeting
• The role of the President is to lead and preside over all meetings; manages the day to day running of the club according to plans and in harmony amongst all members
• The President assigns Committee roles to the eight members of the same Committee
Secretary – Mr Gaetano Sultana
• The Secretary takes minutes of meetings and maintains all correspondence addressed to the club
• One of the official signatories of the bank accounts
• Personally responsible for all necessary permissions needed according to civil authorities
Director – Mr Michael Bonanno
• Manages internal administration of the Society
• Responsible of the inventory; access and security of the Club
• Responsible for all maintenance and decorations inside the Club’s premises
Treasurer – Mr John DeBono
• Responsible for the Club’s finances
• Prepares financial statements and reports showing balances and all assets every General Meeting and when required by the Committee
• Is one of the official signatories of the Club
PRO – Ms Annaliza Borg and Ms Eleanor Vella
• Keep regular contact between Committee, the members and the community with information on any activities organised by the Club
• Responsible for any social activities
• Updates events and information on the club’s website www.choirandorchestra.org
Delegates – Ms Susanne Bonello and Mr Edward DeBono
• Responsible for the club’s musical archive and files
• Maintain list with addresses of all members
• Keep list of attendance for all members
Member – Mr Saviour DeBono
• Represents all members of the Society
• Responsible for all the logistics and final preparations of any musical execution
